Classroom Courses
Our classroom bed and breakfast courses aim to provide you with all of the information you need to Set Up, Market and Run a B&B.
There is a lots of information to take in and participants always feedback that they have thoroughly enjoyed the days and leave with far more than they were expecting! They are run in a friendly, relaxed environment at Hopton House B&B with no more than 8 participants per course.
Whilst there is a basic structure to the day there is plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have about setting up, marketing or running a B&B. They cover the same material as the email courses but you have the added advantage of being able to network with other potential B&B owners, to hear their ideas and listen to their questions.
A light lunch is provided, along with tea, coffee, water and cake and biscuits throughout the day.
The cost of accommodation is NOT included in the course but if you book early you may be able to stay at Hopton House. Otherwise we will recommend B&Bs nearby.

"Thank you so much for putting this course to together. We all need guidance when making this life changing move and there is so little out there where people can work through the various stages together and talk about all the things that arise. There is plenty of info in books or on the internet but in reality it is impossible to read everything and follow every thing so your course, covering all the important areas, totally fits the bill. It really opened eyes to what is involved and the commitment that you have to give your business on a daily basis. I have to say I came away more determined than ever to find a business for my husband and myself with a better understanding of how to do this.
I found the content of the course very good especially the marketing and the computing areas which I have extremely limited expertise. Plenty of handouts are good because they can be read at leisure and referred to when needed and useful for my husband who couldn’t come. I thought the course was generally at a good pace . The brainstorming was useful and got us all thinking. I have to say, I can’t think of any negatives as I got so much out of it.
Apart from the course I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed your lovely home. You live in a wonderful area and cook a mean breakfast! I was pleased to see proper fried bread which seems a rarity in these days of cook-from-frozen hash browns and such like. Thanks for everything "
